I was born and raised in South Korea, and when I was 13 years old, my parents decided to migrate to Australia. We settled in Sydney to start a new chapter in our lives.
I was passionate about cars back then, so I decided to study Industrial Design at UNSW, with the desire of becoming a car designer. However, since becoming a born-again Christian in Year 10, God had started to steadily change my life values. After many years of prayer and conviction through my uni years, upon completion of my course, I finally decided to undertake theological studies to become a ministry worker. I went on to study M.Div at Christ College in Sydney.
After that, I worked 2 years in the construction field and decided to move to Melbourne to take on further study at the Presbyterian Theological College to become an ordained minister.
By God’s grace, while I was undertaking my study at PTC, I was given the opportunity to serve at Canterbury as a pastoral worker, primarily looking after the Korean members in the congregation, and ministering to the Youth.
I am truly blessed and thank God to be serving at Canterbury, and look forward to journeying in faith, growing deeper in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:38–39
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
