Working bee

Roll-up your sleeves

As you can imagine, the church requires regular maintenance of its buildings and grounds. To meet this need, we try to schedule a working bee 3 or 4 times a year.

All members and friends of the church are invited to come along and lend a hand. It is always a great morning of working together for the benefit of our community.

No contribution to the work is too small so even a half-hour on Saturday morning will be helpful. Most tools, collection bags, gloves, etc are available on the day so no need to bring anything. We generally take a break for morning tea sometime prior to 12 noon. We look forward to seeing you there.

Tasks for the day

  • Sweeping up leaves and bagging across the property
  • Weed removal from the tennis court
  • Whipper-snipper trimming around the edges of the property and buildings
  • Removing the debris that has accumulated down the west side of the Bamboo Hall
